The Unseen Pattern

Claudia Mușat

3.700

In this artwork, the artist explores the philosophical roots of musical notation by drawing on the abstract forms of ancient neumes and their evolution into modern scores. Using silkworm patterns as a visual metaphor, the piece reflects the fluid and evolving nature of early notational systems, which sketched melodic contours rather than exact details.
