ABOUT THE ARTIST

Mirela Iordache, born in 1978 and based in Bucharest, is a prominent Romanian artist known for her experimental and abstract works. She graduated from the University of Bucharest in 2002 with a degree in Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage Restoration, and she earned a Master’s degree in Painting from the National University of Arts in Bucharest in 2014. Over nearly two decades, Mirela has showcased her work in over 90 solo, group, and collective exhibitions across Romania, France, Germany, Belgium, and Japan. Her art is characterized by a remarkable versatility, encompassing a wide range of styles and techniques from photorealism and neo-expressionism to abstract forms. She explores various mediums including painting, linocut, drypoint, photography, collage, assemblage, and land art.
