Envision walking across a scorched salt plateau as ethereal blue rain begins to fall. The intense heat and shimmering blue light create a mirage-like effect, with each step distorting the horizon.
The rough texture of the salt beneath your feet contrasts with the cold blue rain, which leaves cobalt, ultramarine, and blue traces on the white surface. As the rain evaporates, it forms scattered blue crystals, like sapphires in a desert.
The rain transforms the environment: rocks become translucent sculptures, plants glow with phosphorescence, and animals shift into fluid forms. This scene defies logic, blending color and sound into a vivid, dreamlike experience.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mirela Iordache, born in 1978 and based in Bucharest, is a prominent Romanian artist known for her experimental and abstract works. She graduated from the University of Bucharest in 2002 with a degree in Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage Restoration, and she earned a Master’s degree in Painting from the National University of Arts in Bucharest in 2014.
