The series “The Red Thread” revives traditional Romanian craftsmanship and tools, transforming them into contemporary artworks. Drawing inspiration from a discovery in the attic of a Romanian village house, where beautifully crafted wooden toys awaited in woven baskets, the artist sought to reimagine these traditional elements.

After carefully cleaning and arranging the toys, they were used as subjects for still lifes, paintings, and drawings. Through this process, the artist listened to the stories behind these objects, imbuing them with new meanings and materials. The series reflects a deep appreciation for the historical and cultural significance of traditional Romanian art forms, reinterpreting them within a modern context while honoring their origins.
