“MACRO 6” embodies the metamorphosis of a bird’s nest into a swirling vegetal form—symbolizing perpetual change and the ephemerality defining existence. Initially a well-defined and static structure, the nest evolves into the epicenter of organic transformation. It deconstructs and recomposes into a new form of life, merging the concepts of nucleus, vortex, speed, and dynamic with static. This artwork reflects the transient nature of existence, where the nest—a symbol of protection and new beginnings—dissolves into the vegetal whirlwind, losing its original identity to become part of a new life cycle. It serves as a metaphor for continuous evolution and the interconnectedness of all natural forms.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mirela Iordache, born in 1978 and based in Bucharest, is a prominent Romanian artist known for her experimental and abstract works. She graduated from the University of Bucharest in 2002 with a degree in Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage Restoration, and she earned a Master’s degree in Painting from the National University of Arts in Bucharest in 2014.
